Who operates CarPriceLab
CarPriceLab is operated by UAB Maremedia, Vytauto g. 48B, LT-68296 Marijampolė, Lithuania. We are responsible for the personal information processed to operate this website and handle your enquiries. Contact us at info@carpricelab.com.
Vehicle specifications and temporary results
The valuation form sends your vehicle specification to the existing CarPriceLab calculation engine. Presets only fill the form; their prices are calculated from available comparable listings. Decorative charts on marketing pages remain explicitly illustrative.
A necessary session cookie connects the form to its result and protects submission. Up to three recent results are kept in the server-side session and can be opened in that browser for 30 minutes. Expired results are removed when the form or a result is next accessed; underlying session-file cleanup follows the server configuration. These result URLs are not public share links. No vehicle or report-share record is created by the form. Do not enter a VIN, registration number or personal information: the form does not request them.
An existing report supplied through a partner is different from a temporary form result. It can contain vehicle identifiers and the partner’s business contact details. Opening it updates its view count and last-opened time. Its availability follows the link’s validity and active status. Treat a shared report link as information intended for its recipient; do not publish it or its contact details without permission. For the partner’s own data handling, consult that partner’s privacy notice.
Where available, the country code supplied by Cloudflare is used to suggest an editable standard VAT rate in the valuation form. If no supported country is available, the form uses Germany’s 19% reference. This does not set your tax residence or change the target sale market. We do not create a location profile; only your chosen price basis and rate are kept with the temporary report result.
Enquiries
The enquiry form prepares an email in your own email application. It does not submit the form to a CarPriceLab backend or store it in a database. We receive your name, business contact details and message only if you send the email. We use that correspondence to answer your request. Do not include confidential customer information or data that is not needed for your enquiry.
API access and private administration
API clients send vehicle specifications to request valuations. A valuation request does not by itself create a public report. When a client explicitly creates a shared report, we store the vehicle specification, any supplied vehicle identifier, the client reference and business contact details needed to render that report. A report may have an expiry and can be revoked by its owner. Revocation stops public access; it does not mean that every stored record or backup is immediately erased.
We maintain client accounts, API-key permissions and usage totals to operate and secure integrations. API keys are stored as hashes. Usage statistics record request counts, endpoint categories, response statuses and response times, not copies of request bodies or VINs. Request-source identifiers used for rate limiting are keyed hashes.
Private administration uses an account email, a password hash, encrypted authenticator enrollment data and security audit events. Its necessary cpl_admin session cookie keeps an authorized administrator signed in. These controls do not track public-site visitors for advertising. Contact us to discuss access to or removal of information associated with a client account or shared report.
Technical data, cookies and service providers
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or advertising tracking on this website. The cpl_valuation session cookie connects your form to its results and protects submissions. Blocking it prevents the valuation form from working. Shared reports can also use an application session cookie. You can remove cookies through your browser settings.
Following a partner report link with an affiliate parameter can set a cdh_affiliate cookie for 30 days to remember the partner reference. It does not store your name, email address or vehicle specification. This is separate from the temporary valuation session.
Cloudflare provides traffic delivery and security. It processes technical data, including IP addresses and request information, and may set security cookies such as cf_clearance or __cf_bm, depending on the protection used. See Cloudflare’s cookie information. Hosting and email providers process the technical information needed to deliver their services. Report pages also load interface resources from jsDelivr; those requests disclose technical connection data to that content-delivery service.
We use vehicle inputs to provide the requested result, and rely on legitimate interests to operate and protect the website and respond to business enquiries. Where you are personally a party to a prospective contract, processing needed to take steps at your request is based on that purpose. We also comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not use these valuations to make automated decisions about individuals with legal or similarly significant effects.
Retention and international processing
Form results are available for up to 30 minutes, with no more than three retained in a session. This is the application access period, not a promise that every server log or session file is physically erased at that moment. Underlying session files follow the server’s cleanup configuration. Enquiry correspondence is retained for the purpose of handling the request and any resulting business matter; technical records support delivery, troubleshooting and security. Longer retention may be needed for legal obligations or a specific dispute. Contact us about the information relating to your request.
Cloudflare operates an international network, so technical data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Its published privacy policy describes international processing and transfer safeguards. For information about the providers and safeguards applicable to your interaction with CarPriceLab, contact us using the address above.
Your rights
Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where consent applies, it can be withdrawn. Send requests to the contact address above; we may need to verify your identity. The normal response period is one month, with extensions where the law permits. You may complain to Lithuania’s State Data Protection Inspectorate or the competent authority where you live or work.
Terms of use
Purpose and scope
CarPriceLab provides market information for automotive business decisions. These terms concern this website and its reports. A separately agreed service contract takes precedence for the services it covers. Descriptions of API integration invite a discussion; they do not provide an API key, service-level guarantee or automatic right of access.
Interpreting a valuation
Market estimates are informational. Asking prices do not establish achieved transaction prices. Vehicle condition, history, equipment, selling terms and local market context can materially affect an achievable price. A report is not a condition certificate, guaranteed sale price or substitute for professional appraisal where one is required.
Market values and ranges are estimated from comparable public retail asking prices in EUR on the report’s stated netto or brutto basis, not a verified record of completed sales. They do not establish a guaranteed trade price or profit. Transport, repairs, transaction fees and business costs are separate from the market value.
Permitted use and third-party information
Use reports for your own assessment and lawful business discussions, keeping their attribution, date and limitations intact. Do not misrepresent a report as a guaranteed price or independent vehicle inspection. Do not bypass access controls, overload the service, harvest recipient details or automate bulk extraction without agreement. Publicly available source information remains subject to its owners’ rights; access to a report does not grant a licence to republish underlying listings or third-party content.
Availability and responsibility
Coverage depends on the available comparable sample. A valuation may be unavailable, change with new evidence or contain source errors. Check material facts before buying, selling or financing a vehicle. Website access may be interrupted for maintenance or security, and temporary results expire as described above. No guarantee of uninterrupted access or a particular commercial outcome is made. Nothing here excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or overrides mandatory rights.
Changes to this notice and these terms will be shown on this page with an updated date. For questions or to report an error, contact CarPriceLab before relying on the disputed information.
